BJD Hobby Storage
I finally got around to clearing out the doll-stuff boxes I’ve amassed over the past year, and it was long overdue. Rummaging through boxes within boxes within boxes just to find whatever I was looking for had grown tiresome. On top of that, things that should have been grouped together in one place were scattered everywhere, which led to me realizing I apparently own not one string-puller, but four of them in total—each bought separately (fortunately, no repeats in size).
I decided to reach for the mental bookmark I had of fellow BJD hobbyist Vega and their blog for inspiration—to whom I credit the genius idea of using PÄRKLA shoe bags for storing BJD clothing.
The shoe bags easily fit all of my 1/3 doll clothes with minimal to zero folding. They provide dust-proofing, are made of light, breathable material, and they lay flat and are expandable. Best of all, they're extremely affordable! Easily my favourite IKEA purchase since the BILLY / OXBERG bookcase where I display my fandom collections and sometimes house my BJDs.
Along with the shoe bags, I purchased a SKUBB closet organizer with six compartments to shelve all my doll clothes. And since I'm only planning to have four dolls in total, they each have their own spacious compartment. I added two SKUBB drawers for the bottom two smaller compartments where I store shoes and other doll stuff.
This is what they look like:
Accessories, tools, a spare wig, eyes in boxes, etc.
